Camp St. George is an Orthodox Christian summer camp operated by the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Diocese of Toledo and the Midwest. It is accredited by the American Camp Association.

With the blessings of Metropolitan PHILIP and Bishop DEMETRI, Camp St. George was established in 2001. Under the sincere guidance of Fr. Michael Nasser and founding Director, Fr. Paul Baba, the new camp quickly became a loved part of many campers’ lives. Today, Camp St. George remains a pivotal experience for both our campers and staff in their Orthodox walk of life.

 Fr. Fred Shaheen from St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Cedar Rapids, IA is our current dedicated director. Our Christ-centered camping experience brings our youth together in a unique experience, where campers and staff continue building their personal relationships with Christ and with each other.

Since 2018 we have rented Camp EWALU in Strawberry Point, IA.  This beautiful site offers hiking, creek playing, an outdoor chapel, a swimming pool, climbing opportunities, zip-lining, archery, and much more. Our program includes Morning and Evening Prayers, Church Services, Meals, Cabin Time, Christian Education, Sports, Nature Adventures and much more.  Camp provides us with a real, genuine connection with God, in a Christ-Centered Environment.
